Muireann Maguire (@) is about to begin a three-month Visiting Scholarship at Pushkinskii Dom, St Petersburg. She is a former Lecturer in Russian at Queen Mary, University of London. She recently completed a PhD on twentieth-century Russian Gothic literature at the University of Cambridge, which she is currrently rewriting as a monograph. Her research interests include the Russian-Ossetian emigr writer Gaito Gazdanov, and the role of the scientist in Russian literary and cinematic culture since 1840.
