Ellen Rutten  (@) is affiliated as a postdoc researcher to the Bergen-based research project The Future of Russian: Language Change in the Era of New Technology. She studied at the Universities of Groningen, St. Petersburg, and Berlin (Humboldt), and lectured at the Universities of Amsterdam, Leiden, and Cambridge. A co-founder and editor of The Russian Cyberspace Journal, she published on Russian literature, new media, and gender-nation stereotypes in Russian Literature, The Slavonic & East European Review, Osteuropa, kultura, and Neprikosnovennyi zapas, among others. Her monograph Unattainable Bride Russia: Gendering Nation, State & Intelligentsia in Russian Intellectual Culture is due for publication at Northwestern University Press in 2010. Currently, she is finishing a monograph on sincerity in post-Soviet culture. Ellen regularly blogs on Russian new media on the Russian Cyberspace blog. See also www.ellenrutten.nl.
